The other day we’ve visited the public library on a sunny saturday. It’s located right next to a vulgar shopping mall and a lot of unlikely people visit this temple of literature in what I guess is an unconscious longing for culture.

Of course, tax money had to be spent economically, so there’s a general lack of elevator space which hurts most during stampedes like the one we encountered.
The security personel showed a lot of solidarity with me limping and immediately guided me to the empty staff elevator: “I know how that feels…had a slipped disc three years ago…never fully recovered”
